Hi! I’m Emily. 

I have over 20 years of experience in video sketch comedy, marketing all sorts of businesses, and leading wildly creative teams.

Through my copywriting agency, PenguinCat Creative, I’ve created hundreds of high-converting marketing funnels and campaigns. Our words have helped bestselling authors, top influencers, eCommerce titans, and industry-leading coaches sell out their events, triple membership signups, double open rates, and seriously crush launch goals.

In a past life, I was the VP of Production at Comediva, a comedic content studio where I wrote and directed viral videos (we’re talking millions of views), branded content (for brands like Pepsi), and even sold a TV show to Amazon.

Today, my mission is to combine my expansive marketing knowledge and scrappy filmmaking roots to create delightfully entertaining and pocketbook-lining ads for clients at an incredible value.

Hello! I’m Sam.

I have 12+ years of experience as a multi-faceted talent & creative director. I’ve helped corporate and startup clients across industries increase their reach and engage their audiences.

I've worked for clients like Nickelodeon, Ubisoft, Harbor Freight Tools, Mattel, Petco, and more. As Scrappy Ads' video editor, actor, writer, co-director, and in-house musician -- I proudly use all my acquired skills to develop razor-sharp, witty content for my clients that charms the pants off their customers (safely). 

For 6 years running, I’ve produced a scripted, live comedy show in Los Angeles that has allowed me to build invaluable friendships with talented actors and improvisers who feature regularly in our work.

Helping businesses grow is a love of mine, and making people laugh is my passion. I'm incredibly excited to create something unforgettable for your brand!

OUR PROCESS

Onboarding

This happens BEFORE our production week. First, we do a one-hour intake call to get a sense of your brand, needs, and voice so we can hit the ground running during your production week. 

Writing

Next, we craft 5 hilarious commercial concepts for you to choose from and then craft wildly creative scripts for your approval. Why trust us? Because we’ve been the secret sauce of over 1400+ launches, 100s of ad campaigns, and dozens of viral videos.

Producing

Now, our resourceful AF production brains go into overdrive. We've built relationships with a diverse roster of top talent and don't need fancy equipment or huge crews to make something utterly compelling and entertaining.

Plus, you’ll get 📸 from the set, so you can get pumped about what's to come!

Editing

We know how to stop the scroll and hold attention using techniques from Spielberg to TikTok. Our in-house editor will perfectly craft those spots within a frame of their lives. (No footage will be harmed during this process.)

Delivery

In addition to getting your spots in high-quality exports, we'll deliver full transcripts and closed caption options and include a copy to post your incredible videos.
